Hello, it this the right place? It looks beautiful.
Hi Melody Yes this is the right place. Please help yourself to the kanga bangers or other hot food to your liking. Everything is on offer. Will you have a glass of red or magical juice?
You look lovely. How would you describe your outfit. I think I've seen something similar in Adrift: In search of memory.
Happy release day Rosalie! Hi Wendy, it has been a while since I visited. How r things?
Hi Wendy, Rosalie, and Melody. This is quite a party here. Wendy, I'll have a glass of wine, unless Rosalie has the champagne all chilled by now. Oh and hand me a kanga banger. My son used to serve up kanga steaks at this restaurant so I'm familiar with the flavor. Bangers I assume are sausages? That's different. They look yummy.
Oh and Wendy, I have a new author website. Folks can find out about me at http://authorjaniefranz.wordpress.com
I need to add some new things to my pages. I'll be updating throughout the launch party.
Hello Miss Wendy,
I would have a glass of red. Thank you.
I chose to wear travelling clothes, since crossing from one world to the next can be hazardous.
The coat and shirt are traditional garb of the Akessler region.
The boots and leggings are souvenirs from my ship board days.
The garden looks and smells wonderful. Your flowers look familiar. I think I recognised some herbs I use too.
Hey Killarney, Lovely to see you here. Things are great. Today we have three lovely Muse authors who are the Guests of Honour. I raise my glass to them but first I'll pop the corks on Rosalie's champagne. Pass me your glass, Killarney. Would you are from some goats cheese or cream tarts?
Hello Killarney, Janie,
I saw Rosalie swimming out toward the pirate ship in the harbour. I guess she will return, sometime.
Meanwhile, let's raise a glass and drink a toast to the telling of a few good stories.
Welcome, Guest of Honour Janie! Here is your glass of champers. The kanga bangers have been marinated in red wine. Is that your bowdancer flirting with Caleath? I see a sea captain who has his eye on her. See, standing by the tall hedge.
Cream tarts...
They look delicious. Much better than the fare we found on our journey.
*Raising glass. I'll pass on the tarts LOL, trying to lose some weight as am speaking at a conference soon and am trying to lose 30lbs. It's not going well, too much time spent at the computer promoting too many books these days. :P
Melody, your travelling outfits is so smart and I must say you've hardly aged at all in spite of the stress of crossing between worlds. Where is your author? Did I hear you say she's all at sea? Trust her. I have a welcoming glass of her own champagne here for her.
Hi Weeeendy! *CBB runs over and gives Wendy a big kiss and then giggles*
I've missed you Wendy. Where have you been? Why haven't you invited me over to play?
Kanga banger? Oh no, Wendy! I'm scared of gangs. *runs and hides behind a tree although it doesn't quite cover his blue butt*
I see Jan-ell, I wonder if she would be happy to swap some healing tips.
You can never have too many potions and poultices.
Karen, long time so see! How are you?
Killarney, congrats on your conference event. Here is a no calorie no sugar sponge cake full of cyber strawberries and toffee syrup. I insist. And I can guarantee the pounds will fall of while you are in this garden.
What a cute elephant. Blue... I have never seen them in that colour before.
What a strange world.
Yes, Wendy, my author skipped. She'll be back, no doubt. With another yarn to spin.
She couldn't resist the lure of the pirate ship.
Or a swim.
Hi Killarney! You look very pretty in that beautiful scarf. Has it been cold where you are?
Hi Melody!! *sigh* I love that name. Wendy is beautifully breezy and Melody is so, well, musical. I love Wendy's parties. Except for that gang-person.
*shivers*
Scares me.
It has been VERY cold! I'm trying to talk Rosalie into letting me move into her spare room! LOL!
Melody, Ja-nell would really love to swap herb knowledge! Thank you for the champagne, Wendy. Congratulations, ladies..... Ohhhh we're in for a treat! Khrin (from The Wayfarer's Road, book 2 of the Bowdancer Saga) just stepped into the garden----and he brought his lute.
I know better than to ask people to let me stay. I just come over and never leave. Rosalie would never kick YOU out. She loves you.
Hi Rosalie!
Hey Karen, Hugs. Oh CBB get off my foot. OO you dear little thing you don't know your own strength.
So Lily and Jet are busy are they, well you'll have to take them some party fare. Did you bring some snickerdoodles. I tried to make them but oh my... I need your help :)
Janie, I thought you were going to say Jan-nell just stepped into some elephant poo. Don't mind Chubby Bubby Blue. He can do anything in this garden. He is our party mascot, always. I just love him to bits.
btw, I'll add your new website to the blog.
Khrin has this ability to make up verses from mingling among a crowd. Be careful or he'll make up a song about you. He's determined to immortalize Jan-nell one day and she won't be too happy about that.
Thanks, Wendy.... This garden of yours is very magical. To see Khrin here when we should just see Jan-nell. I wonder if your garden has a time warp function....And I do so love all your flowers and herbs.
Well, I can't stay long, just popped in to support Rosalie. I have a new book coming out March 17th and another March 28 so I have tons of promo to do, LOL!
Sorry you're leaving us so early, Killarney.
Khrin's lute sounds wonderful. His voice is lovely too.
I didn't bring my lute. Didn't know if it would transport well.
Is Khrin spoken for? I don't want to cause trouble, but I wouldn't mind spending time in his company.
Hi Killarney,
Thanks for dropping in.
I know you have a busy schedule. 15 books to promote and more to write.
:)
Keep warm.
Lute music. How wonderful. Khrin is sooo talented.
I've just brought out the Ambrosia salad and a jug of nector if anyone would like some. Countess Sinclair could I interest you in a drop. Where is your author?
Honoured you came Killarney. I hope you'll get a chance to pop back tomorrow. So good to see you so busy and successful
Congrats to all and what a clever party you're throwing, Wendy. Don't you all have fantastic book covers! I won't be able to stay and eat. My gown is a bit too snug. I confess to having pulled one from the closet I haven't worn in a while. I love the turquoise color too much to part with it, but no eating for me tonight. I will FB and Tweet if you don't mind all sorts of folks showing up. Congrats again.
I checked out the pirate ship. The captain says he might drop in later.
:)
Champagne chilled! Yes... Melody's found Khrin. I can see they have a lot in common.
Karen, CBB looks like he's lost weight. Would he like some cheesecake.
Wendy, love your outfit. Did you make it? Clever clever.
Hi Janie... does Jan-nell have a cream for blue bottle stings.
Swimming in the harbour has hazards.
Karen, the gate is barred, by CCB. You aren't going anywhere unless it's to cook something for CBB and me. Do you like my peasant girl costume?
See how I've dressed Chubby. I borrowed one of Caleath's chain mail coats and draped it around our dear little elephant. It doesn't quite fit but he likes it.
Marsha, welcome... would you like some champagne?
So good to see you.
Hi Marsha,
You look lovely and your gown is so slimming. Maybe it's the light in the garden. hehehe. How terrific of you to FB and Tweet. We'd love to welcome your friends, and I'll be looking out for your characters. I think it is fairly safe so far. Haven't seen one dragon yet except for Queen Merkaat who is overseeing this party.
We expect to go for days!!
Night all, gotta run, press releases and review requests to do tomorrow. *HUGS* Congrats again Rosalie, Cadeath behave yourself! Night Wendy. Don't be a stranger Karen! Night all.
Hello Rosalie! A big welcome to another Guest of Honour. You look slightly damp. Here let CCB blow air on you with his trunk. That was quick. You hair looks lovely now, all wavy haha (clever me). Looking forward to meeting your sea captain. I wonder which one it will be. Here's your champagne and a piece of pavlova
Thank you Wendy, Pavlova.. you know my weakness.
Wavy hair. Another dream come true. Thanks CBB.
Ahh... I might settle in the shade and listen to the singing. This is lovely Wendy. Thank you.
Night Killarney! Can't help being a stranger..cause I'm just strange. LOL. Good to chat with you. Be safe!
Rosalie, did you say 'cheesecake'. Hush, shh, you know that belongs to Lea and we can't get it. Do you want to risk a wet noodling if she finds out you pinched some for us?
Just on the quiet where did you hide it? I'll have a tiny slice.
Oh Wendy! I LOVE my new outfit. Thank you, thank you.
Rosalie - thank you so much for the cheesecake. What a party this is!
Janie, Chubby Bubby Blue loves playing on your new website. He thinks it is so fun to play in the trees and water. He wants that big rock as his own. He's already named it Blue's Perch. He'll be spending a lot of time there now.
Karen, you sound like my Stefan, haha, it's been said he 'there is no stranger, stranger than you'. But that doesn't apply to you unless being one of a kind in generosity and warmth makes you ... not strange, Unique! Hugs
I see Tallowbrand, the dread lord's shade. Come dance with me Tal. I don't worry you'll hug me too tight or step on my toe, because you are so flimsy, you can't. Oh you are so light on my feet.
Miss Rosalie, I do not know sea creatures and what harm they may have, but I do have a cream that will soothe troublesome nettle rashes. I did bring some in my herbal kit.....
Melody, Khrin loves swapping songs.
Karen, you should take Blue to southern Ohio. That's where that picture was taken. It's another magical place.
Janie, did you find a flower for your hair. The climbing roses on the arbour over the swing look lovely but if you prick your finger on them you'll end up like sleeping beauty in a glass case for umpteen years until a frog comes by and offers you an apple.
Ahh, Jan-ell, that hits the spot. Works a treat.
Thank you.
Wendy... there won't be any cheesecake left (as evidence), once CBB gets the scent.
We might as well enjoy it while we can. Although, the pavlova is so scrumptious I don't need cheesecake.
What a lovely quote, Wendy.
Isn't being a little strange required to mingle here?
So, Tallowbrand can dance. Or he's learning new skills. Hehe. Doing well for an ancient ghost.
Shhh.. don't tell him I called him a ghost. But really, what else is he?
Janie, Khrin has some wonderful songs. We have shared a few. *blushes*
Thanks for bringing him along.
Excuse me now... I was just getting him another glass of cider.
Melody, yes, he's a charmer.
Wendy, I'll just take a small rose that I can reach. Thank you.
So there's dancing? Khrin knows these elaborate village dances like contras. He'll teach you.
Jan-nell is quite a dancer but she only knows the story-songs and dances of her village, especially the Women's Dance.
We didn't have much time to dance when travelling with Caleath... but I do love a reel.
This is so much fun.
Melody would you like to dance with Tallowbrand. It's quite an experience.
I'll just sit here on the swing and watch how the Bowdancer dances and sip on my glass of nector. I'm feeling quite Medieval and drifting from port to port in an alien sea. No wonder my head is swimming.
Janie, I just hope you keep away from the thorns on that rose. That's all, just sayin'
I am exhausted from dancing. Khrin and I are just taking a walk in the beautiful woods. They look so inviting.
*sniff* Wendy, CBB isn't the only one who loves you.
Rosalie, CBB found some snicker doodles! So the cheesecake is safe. At least, he said they were snicker doodles. Hmmm.
Aw Janie, CBB isn't sure of going somewhere that greets him before he gets there O-HI-O. Will you be there? Someone has to watch over him.
Love all you guys! Thanks for the fun party. Did someone mention making a song about CBB?
A song about CCB. That is a wonderful idea. Goodnight Karen, sleep well. Your little elephant is quite happy here in the garden with Janie's horses and Rosalie's dragons. He'll go home with you tomorrow. He's busy eating herbs... oh no! CCB is into Jan-nell's herb garden. Cubby, lift your feet, precious.
Rest assured I will be creating a ballad about the blue baby elephant, Miss Karen.
No one in my world may believe it, but perhaps I can introduce them to fantasy. :)
It has been a pleasure meeting you.
Goodnight Melody and Wendy. CBB is sending big kisses. He had a great time today even though he didn't really find the snicker doodles.
That was my fault because I misunderstood his little whining. I guess he *snickered* and did a *doodle* Silly elephant.
Love you guys. Thanks for the party and congratulations to all of you!
A song?? CBB can't wait.
We have had such a good time today. I'll be back tomorrow with Jan-nell and perhaps a few others. Khrin can take care of himself here....
Good night
See you all tomorrow. Hugs. Chubby's staying in the garden overnight. I need him to protect the sparrows from the dragons :) Goodnight to the sleepyheads.
Welcome to all those who have just woken up.
Waking up... coffee is brewing for those who would like some.
Congrats for all the new releases. Can't wait to meet my friends from the Chronicles of Caleath again.
Coffee would be nice, and once I'm more awake I'd certainly love to dance with Tallowbrand. :-)
The coffee is hot. Tallowbrand is eager to dance.
Melody and Khrin are doing a great job entertaining.
Thanks, Rosalie, nice and hot. Now, Tally's giving me the shivers.
:)
As long as that's all he gives you.
A few shivers wouldn't go astray. It's hot here.
Welcome Edith, so nice to see you here in the summery weather of OZ.
Have you brought Karo and Martin with you? I'm sure with Martin, Trek guide extraordinaire they had no trouble finding their way here.
Is anyone dressed as a pirate? I just saw a stray parrot flying around looking for a shoulder to land on.
Btw, dear guests, I just made a batch, a double batch, of waffles and icecream, if you are interested, but I really could do with some Irish stew or some Baklava.
Yes, Wendy, in the Aussie sun I got over the shivers Tally sent down my back quickly. Phew. Remind me not to get too close to him again.
Martin and Karo are lurking somewhere in this beautiful guarden. Can you imagine, the tour guide from hell dressed up as James Bond? Ts. I wouldn't put it beyond him to bring a parrot anyway.
Martin as Bond... now that would be a sight.
With or without the parrot.
He will be disappointed with our mountains. Although I am sure we can find some cliff for him to climb.
Does he like diving?
haha. Maybe Martin can give Janie's Jan-nell a tour of the garden. She's a bowdancer so he might find his match with her, or with Rosalie's Melody.
I think he has eyes for Rosemary's Countess. I think she is down by the lake. I hope she doesn't get her long down muddy.
I'm pretty sure Martin wouldn't turn down the challenge of diving in Australia.
A countess would go well with his tuxedo, and who knows, maybe Karo would get jealous. One never knows...
Cinderfella Conspiracy - Adventure Trek 2 is now available on amazon too.
Should we warn the countess? Martin is bit if a diamond in the rough.
His rugged good looks seem to have impressed her.
Sweet.. a second adventure.
I must check it out. :)
I must curl up in the hammock under the wisteria for a couple of hours. I'm hoping all the guests will help themselves to the goodies and that all the creatures that protect and guide Caleath in his final will watch over me. I'm so worried that Wrath or Bonella might make a sudden appearance while I'm asleep. I heard Bonella has risen again and it isn't even Halloween.
That's great news, Edith. Well done!
Yeah.. I heard the same rumour.
Perhaps Tallowbrand can set some wards around the garden to make Bonella behave.
I wouldn't worry about Wrath making an appearance. Caleath seems quite content chatting with Karo.
Melody is about to play. I think I will settle back and listen too, although sleep beckons.
Catch everyone in a few hours.
Looks like I've missed lots of fun. Friday is just starting here in New Hampshire. I'll never get used to the time change! If you've all gone to bed, I'll catch you later.
Hi Pat,
So lovely to see you. Did you bring any Irish Stew, with Guinness? I love that
I didn't bring any, Wendy, but the fairies can get you a nice hot bowl in a jiffy. I couldn't leave them home. They love your parties.
Congratulations on your new releases, ladies! All three of the books sound so good!
By fairies, you mean Finbar. Is he in a dancing mood. We have lots of music. Melody is singing and Khrin plays the lute. I'd be prepared to dance with your King of the fairies if you think it would be safe enough.
Yes, I think it might be wise to warn the countess. Hopefully Martin won't try to rile Caleath or Wrath might make an appearance after all.
Might be safer than dancing with Tallowbrand, Wendy. Let's see. :-)
Oh, I'd love a pint of guiness now.
I'm so impressed with all these new releases. Congratulations, ladies!
Hi Heather, come right in. Here's a glass of bubbly or would you prefer something hot -like a hot fudge sundae and grab a plate for your kangaroo steak and lamingtons.
Pat how rude of me, here's your cup of nectar and a large slice of strawberry cream sponge. Come sit on the velvet bench beside the hedge.
King of the Connaught Fairies, His Majesty, Finvarra, prefers wine, French Burgundies when available. He's so difficult! But don't tell him I said so. I like my toenails.
Wendy, thanks for the refreshment. I'm parched after traveling from New England, and this sponge looks good.
Edith,I think I won't warn the countess. Let's just see how things develop. Her sea captain might liven things up if Martin becomes too interested.
Trust you. I thought of the Guinness in the stew, you thought of it in a glass. You are more grown up than me
Guinness isn't a maturity thing, Wendy (at least I don't think so!). I don't care for it in a glass, but I love it in beef stew and chocolate. But I can send for some for Edith, in a great big glass that says "Guinness Is Good For You"
Oh New England, that is quite a way. Did you make a detour via Ireland? Finvarra please accept my apologies, oh fairyship, I didn't mean to step on your toes and please don't chew on mine.
That will be perfect, Pat. Edith will love that. I'm sure she will 'collect' the glass too. I know for a fact she collects bottles, don't you Edith.
I'm never sure how the fairies take me to visit you, but we didn't pass Ireland this time. Don't worry about Finvarra. He's so flighty, as long as he has a glass of something, he's happy. What time is it down there?
Slainte. Mmmmmh, yum. Thank you, Pat!
My pleasure, Edith. Nothing a little Fairy Wind can't handle :-)
Finvarra, please accept a barrel of Beaujolais and sit on that mossy log by the little stream. No you don't have to share it with anyone. Just as long as you are happy. I have my gold jewellery on just in case you cover me in glimmer.
Uh oh. He's looking for a grippable young mortal to dance with! If there are any attractive young ladies in the new releases here, they'd better watch out!
Pat, it is 11:45pm Friday here but that means nothing to this cyber party. I'm still in the hammock and Rosalie is on a bed of petals and I can see Edith is on the swing. The gate is wide open for anyone who cares to enter. Just help yourselves and mingle.
Any place for the water fairies to swim? They get dried out after a long trip like this.
grippable hmm. The Countess, the Bowdancer, Naomi but she's Caleath's woman, Melody. Maybe we should call on Merkatt the dragon if he gets out of control :)
Merkatt would fix him, all right. Finvarra, you'd better behave yourself!
Water, yes. There is the little stream with the mossy banks when your King of the Fairies is resting. There is the lake with the waterlilies and beyond the hedge is the ocean with the naval ships and the pirates.
On the lawn we have barrels of water but we can't drink that because it makes us shrink. Some evil sprite contaminated the water at the last party.
Lewy! Blinn! Go swim in the lake with the waterlilies!
The flowers are blooming and the tables are full. Steaks are sizzling and plates of exotic delicacies I don't even know the names of are piled high. All guaranteed to reduce weight or put it on whichever you prefer.
feeling drowsy -back to the hammock. It such a nice breeze. zzzzzz.
Thanks, Wendy. Get some sleep. We'll help ourselves.
BTW, Rosalie, Janie, and Rosemary - if you're looking for promo for your lovely new books, you're most welcome on my book blog anytime. Congrats again on the new releases!
Yawn and stretch. Coffee's brewing. So the big day is really here. These three new books are now available. Thank you to our lovely visitors who are making this release day so memorable for our sister authors.
Pat, I'm sure our Guests of Honour will take you up on your offer. Yours is a lovely blog. :)
Thanks, Wendy. I'd be honored to have them. Hope you enjoyed your cat nap :-)
I'm here with my unicorns! Brought my fiddle too! Anyone wanna dance? And I brought some hay for all the critters who are vegetarians. Woohoo! Is that a kangaroo I see? Oh, and an echidna. Aw, love the wombat!
I did. Now I'm ready for some Ambrosia salad. Has Caleath come back from the lake with the Bowdancer. She should have healed the hole in his chest by now. :)
OH Suzanne! Hugs! And hugs to your unicorns too. Oh look they are already mingling with Janie's horses. Thanks for they hay. I didn't notice all those Aussie natives until you mentioned it. Yes they roam free in the garden but way down the back. You can cuddle a koala.
And Suzanne, we'd love some fiddle music. We've had some beautiful singing by Melody and lute music from Khrin. My Stefan is a guitarist. He tried his hand at the lute but it got him into trouble.
Wow what a crowd. I could hardly inch through the gate to this magical world. Thrilled to see these 3 authors being celebrated. Looks like reading to make the winter days go faster. Lovely party, Wendy. I brought some sloppy joes for everyone. Enjoy!
You can learn about Rosemary Morris and read extracts from her novels on her website www.rosemarymorris.co.uk and follow her on her blog:http://rosemarymorris.blogspot.com and at www.facebook.com/writerinagarret
Hi Janet! So lovely to welcome you. How thoughtful to bring sloppy joes for everyone and oh this is so sweet, look the MuseItUp logo. Wow, I wouldn't mind one of these in the real world. If Lea is listening, now there's a thought.
Janet here's is a celebratory drink and there is plenty of cream tarts and vegetarian fare (Suzanne brought that) if you aren't up to steaks from the BBQ
Did you bring your characters with you?
Hey everyone. Attention please! Our third Guest of Honour has entered the garden. Put your hands together and give a big welcome to Rosemary Morris. Cheers Rosemary. . You'll find your Countess over by the rose garden chatting with Janie's lute player. I'm afraid she got the hem of her gown muddied when she strolled by the lake with Edith's tour guide, Martin. So happy to see you here.
I'm back, my lovelies. I'm taking a few moments to enjoy the garden before I launch into writing a blog that's due. What a lovely day!
Welcome, Rosemary! Is Pat still here? I wanted to say hello!
Congrats on the new releases. Beautiful covers, ladies!
I brought quesadillas and tequila. After you're done sipping champagne, we can have a few straight shots with lime and salt. Or, for the more faint of heart, have some chocolate flan.
Jacquie
Janie, I'm here. Hello, and congrats!
Hi Janie, your Khrin has been entertaining us with his lovely lute music and Jan-nell has attracted a lot of attention from Caleath and Martin.
I'm excited because I just bought your Bowdancer from Muse and it arrived this morning (my time). I love the cover. Such a bargain too! I got it at the discount price which will last a little longer, I think.
Hi Jacquie! Great to see you here. Where is Cole that gorgeous marshal of yours?
Yes I'm done with the champers. Please pour me one of those shots and I must try your quesadillas. What are they.
What a great book launch party! Enjoying all of the food. Best wishes ladies on your books. Great covers!
Happy Release Day!
Susan Bernhardt
Wendy, you're so sweet to buy The Bowdancer. Khrin's book, The Wayfarer's Road, will be out April 18. I'm proofing the galley right now and working on the cover with Cora. She's terrific!....
Jacquie, I'll take a shot a little later. I need to get a blog written for Romance Writers at Large. It goes up tomorrow.
Pat, Princess Talty is looking lovelier than ever. Does she have a new love in her life?
Hi Susan, Here's a plate of your most favourite of favourite foods. It looks great, what is it? Thank you for being here!!!
I'll pop in later....maybe in an hour or so. And might bring in a few guests.... Ladies, be prepared to catch your breath.
Janet, Thought I should mention. It's summer here in Oz, but that hasn't stopped me from wearing your sloppy joe. Thanks for your thoughtfulness. It is so soft and warm.
I have to pop out to take Spitzli to dog training but Rosalie will be here any minute. Have fun and enjoy meeting each. Hugs to you my extra special friends. You truly are the best!!
Janie, I'll be back then too. Can't wait to meet those friends
Talty doesn't need a new love, not being married to Neil. But you never know. Things happen. She might return to ancient Ireland some day and revisit her first love. But I digress. If anyone is making Margaritas, I'd love one!
Oh Talty is married to Neil. I didn't know. I'll have to read A Band of Roses. I'm so happy for her. Can someone pass Pat a Margarita, please? I love your 'glimmer' books.
Thanks, Wendy. I'm working on the third one now. Being at a party surrounded by so many talented writers sure is inspiring. And now, I must be off. It's getting late this Friday afternoon in New England, and I have to start dinner. And tonight is whist night! Have fun everyone. I'll pop in tomorrow. Or whatever it will be down there :-)
So glad you came and stayed for so long Pat. You are a dear friend. Enjoy the whist. How you can think of real food after all the cyber food you just consumed is beyond me hahaha. Hugs
*yawn* Good morning... I must have pricked my finger when admiring the rose. Slept till a frog jumped on my bed.
Then, who brought an evil witch or sorcerer? Was it your bat shape changing sybil Wendy, cause my computer is under a spell today.
Will drain my coffee cup and scroll back through the posts. Welcome everyone and thanks for coming. :)
We have some rather noisy fellers putting a new roof on the house today. In the sprinkling rain.
:) Saturday morning in Oz. Weird and wonderful.
Janet, the sloppy joe fits perfectly. This morning is one of the first with an autumn chill and rain. Great timing.
Hi Susan, Pat, Jacquie, So glad you and your characters could make it. The garden is brimming with extraordinary conversation. I love eaves dropping. :P Unicorns and horses, fairies, countesses... a dragon keeping the bbq warm... and the food.
Heather, did I see you booking a tour with Edith's Martin?
Wendy, you host the best parties.
I see Finvarra dancing with Naomi. Melody walking out with a cowboy sheriff, Caleath flirting with Jan-nell, Martin leading a countess astray, and Merkaat conversing with a unicorn. Where else can an ancient king dance with a goatherd? Or a dragon and unicorn meet?
It is wonderful that 'what happens in Wendy's garden, stays in the garden'.
Very few reprisals...
Haha Rosalie, you paint the perfect picture. Good to hear you are getting your new roof on in the drizzling rain. Cast a spell for a few hours of sunshine. I'm sure one of your sorcerers will supply a small one.
Three cheers for three lovely ladies and their new releases !!! I'm ready to escape to any of the worlds in their books.
Hi Susan,
Would you like coffee or champagne, before embarking on the journey into another world?
Hi Susan. So glad to see you here.
I think I will join you in that cup of coffee. Rosalie can we borrow Merkaat to fly us to all the different worlds in your books and take us back in time to Janie and Rosemary's eras. I've always wanted to ride on a magic dragon. I'll bet Susan has too.
What a wonderful idea...
I am sure it would be possible. Anything is possible here in your garden. :)
Thank you, Susan. Glad you're here.
Ladies, I'd like to introduce you to this handsome hunk behind me. You can't miss him. This is Farik, a sword dancer from the sea islands. He oiled his rich dark skin and his shaved head in honor of this special occasion. And, trust me, you should see him dance.
Yes, Bekar, I will introduce you, too. This is master hunter Bekar, one of the Warrior Women. She's a terrible flirt... ouch! that hurt my arm! You don't know your own strength.
Greetings Farik, Bekar. Wonderful to meet you.
Please help yourself to the food...
Melody and Khrin's music is a great inspiration to dance.
Rosaelie, I'd love to fly on Merkaat. That sounds so wonderful.
Well, why not?
We can traverse worlds on a dragon's back.
Helloooo Farik. Oh an you too Farik. :) Please mingle and join in the dancing. Suzanne's fiddle is playing wonderful tunes all by itself.
oops. I must have Farik on my mind. I meant, you too Bekar. Bekar you might be interested in a young nobleman I know. Lord Rolf Gessler. Oh no wait. Eva Tell might object. She's a feisty one and has claimed Rolf. How about young Hank, over there. He's 30, shy but too handsome for his own good, isn't he Rosalie.
I'm feeling a bit peckish. I just made a lemon birthday cake for some one in real life, but if I take a small slice and fill it with cream, she mightn't notice.
Oh yeah.. Hank would be a good catch.
Lemon cake.. just a small slice. No one will notice.
:)
Well, it is with blurry eyes and a happy heart I say farewell to all the lovely friends who came to celebrate with our three Guests of Honour. So, thank you for the company and for your generosity with your time, your characters and your wonderful cyber food. Until next time. The Garden Gate is now closed. :)
Thank you Wendy. It has been wonderful, again, to celebrate with you.
The garden has survived quite well this time. :)
Thank you and good night.
Thank you for a lovely party Wendy! You are a most gracious hostess. And congratulations to all of the authors on the launch of their new books.
Wendy L, perhaps sloppy joe is not the same thing in the US as what you refer to. Sloppy joes are sandwiches made of ground beef and barbeque sauce. Is sloppy joe a sweater in your corner of the world?
Wendy, if Jim and Gloria, snowbirds from Michigan, get a chance to sandwich the party in between their flea market shopping and golf game and dance this evening, they'll be here. They are quite the pair of characters. Pastor Christine is tied up with a wedding this afternoon, but will try and make it later. They truly appreciate the invitation and wish everyone success with their books.
Rosalie and Janie,
Congratulations on the publication of your novels,
All the best,
Rosemary Morris
ROFL.. A sloppy joe is a loose fitting jumper, here in Oz, not a sandwich.
That's great. hehe.
I wouldn't like to try to eat one.
Congratulations to you too, Rosemary, on your release of The Captain and the Countess. It looks like another sea faring adventure. I love the tall ship on the cover. :)
Janet, did I have myself cloaked in sandwiches. hahahha. Well anything can happen in this secret garden. :) especially the area of the garden situated I Australia. We are so upside down and inside out but way ahead of the rest of the world -time wise that is. :) How appropriate to have sloopy joes at this party. Janet I can assure you they will be a regular feature at all feature garden parties I throw. Right up there with snickerdoodles and forbidden fruit.
Also, the idea of a T-shirt or sloppy joe sweater with the muse logo is most appealing to me. I do hope they become a reality. This is an idea you spawned in my secret garden!
Jim and Gloria would be a wonderful addition to the musical entertainment. We've had Melody singing, , Khrin the lutist, and Suzanne's fiddle. Musicians are most welcome. I hope pastor Christine's wedding was a glorious occasion.
I've been outside the garden all day at a real birthday party, and I gained at least 4kgs. My daughter made fluffly scones with jam & cream (she has a secret ingredient) and my 90 yr old aunty made the best lemon meringue pie ever. I won't be able to even look at...the scales for at least 24 hours. So sleepy now. I'm glad it's bedtime.
Rosalie, It's a pleasure. You are such an excellent co-host as well as an honoured guest.
Janie, I'll be happy to host you any time. You are fun be around.
What a great triple launch for three wonderful literary ladies! I wish you all the best, and that primarily means many, many sales and five star reviews.
Signed . . . An Admirer.
Thank you John for dropping in.
It has been great fun.
Mega sales and five star reviews would be terrific. :)

Congrats, ladies - Wendy...you do know how to throw an amazing party:)
Thank you Susan. I'm so glad you dropped by. Please take this basket of goodies home with you. You'll find a bottomless champagne bottle, a lemon meringue pie, several kangaroo and beef streaks and a packet of snickerdoodles. I was going to serve crocodile streaks but fashioned a pr of shoes from the leather instead. You'll find these in the side pocket of the basket.
