 PAT MCDERMOTT

Pat's Novel is GLANCING THROUGH THE GLIMMER

Cover Artist: Kaytalin Platt

In the modern Kingdom of Ireland, few mortals believe in the fairy folk.
Without that belief, the fairies are dying. Finvarra, the King of the
Fairies, would rather dance than worry-but he must have a mortal dancing
partner.

When Janet Gleason's grandfather becomes the new U.S. Ambassador to Ireland,
the sixteen-year-old orphan must leave Boston and her friends behind. Janet
is lonely in Dublin and unused to her grandparents' stuffy social life. An
invitation to a royal ball terrifies her. She can't even waltz and dreads
embarrassment. Finvarra's fairy witch overhears her fervent wish to learn to
dance.

Seventeen-year-old Prince Liam Boru loathes the idea of escorting another
spoiled American girl to a ball. In fact, he detests most of his royal
duties. He dresses down to move through Dublin unnoticed and finds himself
on his royal backside when Janet crashes into him. Intrigued, he asks to see
her again, and she willingly agrees. Unaware of each other's identities,
they arrange to meet. When they do, the fairies steal Janet away.

Liam's attempts to find her trigger a series of frustrating misadventures.
Can he and Janet outwit a treacherous fairy king who's been hoodwinking
mortals for centuries?

CHRISTINE LONDON

 WHEN WE WERE AMAZING

Cover Artist: Delilah K Stephans

Blurb
Fourteen freaking hours in the hell that was the interior of a jet plane. He tried to read, listen to music, watch a film. Nothing. He could see nothing but her lying in a hospital bed, tubes and technology running from her, surrounding her with their manufactured sterility. She needed to be touched. He needed to touch her. Make sure she was warm, well, alive.

A nagging weight lodged in the pit of his stomach. No food, no drink, just her. She was the cure.

He slid the sunshade up. The first rays of light sliced across the horizon as they chased the day at thirty six thousand feet. He could scarcely make out the scallop of cumulus below as they drifted by. The world went on, not caring a thing for the concerns of man. His world was suspended like an insect in amber. The rest of humanity could look in at him, but he was paralyzed to act, to move, to breathe.

PARTY!!! Where's the Snicker Doodles to celebrate. I don't see the forbidden fruit either... Of course Congratulations! These look like fantastic books but I like to eat while I read soooo where's the fooooood?

Rosalie Skinner said...

Goodday and welcome... Congratulations everyone..and here we go, Karen, *removes covers from the table* all the forbidden fruit left over from Montreal.. flown in... hmm. No, seriously, this was made fresh...
Can I smell the cinammon snickerdoodles cooling? How did the obedience training work in the bat?

Wendy said...

Congratulations Rosalie. Good thinking to show off the food.

Glad to see our Blue Elephant, Karen. Lovely how it waves everyone in through the gate with his trunk. Hide the snickerdoodles, the bat approaches. She wears a cinnamon stick in her hair to hide her other 'scents'.
Grab your glasses ladies for the 'apple cider'. Bbq is ready for the kanga snags and shrimp. What about some steamed rainbow trout or Tasmanian salmon?

Kat said...

I brought fudge.:-) Congrats everyone on their wonderful releases. I am so happy for my Muses sisters and brothers.

Karen Cote said...

Yumyumyum. These Snicker Doodles are even chewy!

Uh...between you, me and the bat? That cinnamon isn't really working...

Karen Cote said...

Hi Kitty-Kat! Did you bring any of those lovely dishes from your website???

Wendy said...

FUDGE! out o' my way ladies. I must have some fudge. Lovely. Thank you Kat. Here's a glass help yourself to what ever drink you like but I must warn you there was something wrong with the water last time. Doesn't you Mum's book look senational. Of course you'll want some Champange this Afternoon, won't you? :)

Pat McDermott said...

Champagne and fudge. Worth the trip from New England! Hi everyone. Pass those bubbles, please.

Rosalie Skinner said...

Don't worry about the water, it's just FRACKED. Good old PROGRESS.
Shut the gate.. no.. not your gate Wendy, the welcome mat is out. Wish the elephant had not done that, just there. Do you have a shovel?
Yeah Karen, we need something stronger than cinammon here too!!
Hi Pat, Kat, Champagne.. it's still morning here. Is that ok?

Wendy said...

I heard you. Yes you! that woman who has an unruly male muse. You vertually said I smell. Well let me tell you that bat faeces doesn't smell so bad to a bat. It's the cinnamon that is so strong. So watch out in case I fly over you and hover. Are they snickerdoodles I see? I'll have a couple of those, if you don't mind.

Pat McDermott said...

It's 6:00 and just after supper here in New Hampshire, Rosalie. You can put a little orange juice in your champagne and call it a Mimosa. All that Vitamin C. So good for you :-)

Rosalie Skinner said...

Good old Vit C... that's the excuse I need.. Right.. fill up those glasses!!
I must run and re stock the cyber shelves... Will be back before the kangaroo steaks are ready.
Will brings some scented candles Wendy.. they might do the trick.

Wendy said...

Hey Pat! Congratulations. I hope you enjoy your day too. Are your fairies here or are they scared of the elephant. It's such a tiny chubby bubby blue elephant I'm sure if your characters come Through the Glimmer they'd love him
Have a lamington or Pavlova. I think we can pinch a little of Lin's champagne because Christine has some bubbly on her cover to.

Pat McDermott said...

My fairies are only afraid of steel, Wendy. They prefer wine, so don't be surprised if the glasses start emptying themselves. Me, I'll have some of that beautiful bubbly from Lin's gorgeous cover.

Wendy said...

Scented candles Rosalie? Do you think lighting candles before Firemummy gets here is wise?
Pat's fairies might fly too close to the flames.
So sorry about that out burst from my sibyl. She does get offended when her choice of perfume is questioned.

Pat McDermott said...

BTW, thanks for inviting me. You guys throw the best parties!

Karen Cote said...

Hehehe...Wendy's parties are the bestest ever. So tell me? Are bats really blind? 'Coz your bat just flew into my elephant's doodle and no...not the Snicker Doodle kind.

*snicker* That'll teach 'em.

Hi Pat! Congratulations!

Pass that spiked orange juice over here.

Pat Dale said...

Hi, gang! We've got some spectacular books out today. Raising my glass to toast each of you for work well done. Cheers everybody!
PD

Wendy said...

Dear Pat, you are most welcome. It's great to have you and your characters here to greet your guests who are excited to meet you and your fellow launchees um releasees um bookees -well you know who I mean :)

There is a replica of your castle behind the hedge, I saw Rosalie's Caleath wander in through the door. Will he be okay?

MuseItUp Publishing said...

19 comments already? Wow, I just spotted the Party notice on the authors loop.

Congrats to everyone and now, you guys can eat all the cheesecake you want cos I had the REAL thing at the retreat. LOL

And Karen, don't eat too much, sweetie, cos all the pounds may go to your boobies and you're big enough. hehehehe

Pat McDermott said...

Caleath will be fine. The fairies only take, um, borrow, cute girls. And Hi Pat Dale! Congrats to you too. We're going to be confused with two Pats and all that orange juice...

Pat McDermott said...

Hi Lea! Have some champagne. The new books look great on Facebook.

Wendy said...

oh lol. That's funny I was answering Pat Mc D and yet that reply was perfectly apt for Pat D.
Welcome Pat!
Congratulations on your book's release. Did any of your characters accompany you here? Please accept a beer, not an Aussie one. A German one might be better. Or do you prefer a whiskey? Grab a plate and help yourself to the hot food.

Wendy said...

OH MY GOSH! THIS IS SO MUCH FUN. I TURN AROUND AND BACK AGAIN AND THE WHOLE PLACE HAS CHANGED. HEHEHE. PEOPLE ARRIVE AND EVERYONE IS MINGLING. YOU ARE THE BEST PARTY GUESTS! TRULY THE BEST!

Wendy said...

Karen, I'm rofl. You are a scream. My bat didn't ever let on to me that she was blind, and I forgot to ask her but this really is a sight for sore eyes watching her struggle out of that doodle. Her leathery wings look quite heavy. lol. Please excuse her rude outburst. I don't like her. Never have but she has such a stong influence on me and my muse likes her. That's the trouble.

Pat McDermott said...

It's probably those darned fairies. Finvarra, stop changing the decor!

Wendy said...

Welcome Lea. How proud you must be today with these awesome new books from awesome Muse authors.

Here is a glass of ouzo.

Thanks for letting us have the cheesecake. Now we don't have to sneak in and steal it. Where's the fun in that?

Okay, someone is going to have to come up with a new devious device. Not me because I'm too... you know. But an author among us will think of something.

Karen Cote said...

Lea! I've worked really hard on my brand and in one short weekend...you've rebranded all my efforts. Smurfette, Boobette, LOL. Okay...bring out the measuring stick coz I know yours has to be double or triple something... You're so funny!!!

Congratulations Pat D. What is this your gazillionth release?

Don't know if we have Irish Whiskey but I'm sure your charm is intoxicating enough.

Hehehe. I think Wendy's bat just flew up Pat Mc.'s skirt. Poor thang.

Pat McDermott said...

Me or the bat? :-)

Karen Cote said...

I'm not quite sure Darling Pat Mc. I'm just not sure. LOL

Pat McDermott said...

Oona, stop chasing those bats! I can't take you fairies anywhere!

MuseItUp Publishing said...

There are fairies here? Oh thank god, I thought with all that ouzo for sure I was seeing things. LOL

Pat McDermott said...

Don't dance with Finvarra, Lea. Just don't!

Wendy said...

Karen, I see what you meant on the loop. YOUR elephant , not mine, squashed the Chippendale Ice Sculpure. Does anyone have a character who can fix it? boo hoo.

Lea that's funny, you can see Pat's fairies but not Karen's blue elephant with the chubby wiggly bum. The ouzo is protecting you!!

Pat McDermott said...

Finvarra might be able to fix it. He's the King of the Fairies, after all. I'll leave him here, but alas, I must take a break for a bit. Time for our Thursday night whist game with the neighbors. I'll be back in a few. Save me some Snicker Doodles?

Wendy said...

The King of the Faries might fix it. That would be great. Can he be trusted to be here without you. I'm not too sure what to feed fairies.

Rebecca Ryals Russell said...

Such a wonderful party! I love the idea of a large launch party with something for everyone. All of the books look incredible. I wish all of you great sales.
Rosalie-I'm thoroughly enjoying my first prize (when I have time to read a bit). Your writing is inspired and inspirational for me.

Wendy said...

Hi Rebecca, Come right in. This huge buffet table has everything you can imagine. Take a plate and let your imagination run wild. The cheesecake is no longer stolen. Lea has let us have it freely.

See the empty bowl? That used to contain the forbidden fruit but we haven't any.We need to find something else for the forbidden fruit now. Any ideas anyone.

Karen Cote said...

Whoops! I think I swatted a fairy..yikes.

Hi Rebecca...*waving* All the books are certainly lovely, aren't they?

WENDY! I know what we can call your parties... Ready - Wait for it:

Wendy's Bash - Where Muses Collide

What do you think? Sounds like a soap opera doesn't it?

Okay...fairy-spell. The word verification I have to type in is fairis?? That's spooky. What are they magic fairies? A little too close to real life for my comfort level. Tell the fairies to stop messing with my google account.

Christine London said...

I'm here!! Champagne to all the new releases!!

Christine London said...

I'm here!! Champagne to all the new releases!!

Karen Cote said...

HI CHRISTINE!!! It's just not a party without you. CONGRATULATIONS! Can I get you some champagne? No cheesecake coz someone ate it all but I think there's some sticky buns.

I'm a little wary about those tho... ya know...sticky buns??

Kat said...

Finally found where you guys hid the margaritas.:-) And natch while I busy looking Lea sneaks in and boobies Karen.:-)

Christine London said...

Depends on Whos buns we are talking about...
;)

Champagne!

Snickerdoodles all gone?

Karen Cote said...

I know Kitty-Kat, right?

Boobies, buns and Snicker Doodles...oh my! Lea's a mess.

We never run out of Snicker Doodles Christine. But watch out for those other (stinky) doodles. Don't want to eat those.

I'm so excited for your new release Christine. Congratulations again!

Yuk! Who brought the Llama? Doncha know those things spit lugies?

Rosalie Skinner said...

Phew, I am back... now to unload all the cyber goodies. Wendy, the forbidden fruit... hmm.. let's see what we have...
I might just finish my chai latte before refilling my champagne glass.
Hold on.. can fairies swim? Or is he drinking my chai? I think it's Finvarra warming up after working on the ice sculpture. Poor little man, he's blue all over.
Did you say Caleath entered the castle? Hmm.. I'll stay out here.
Thanks Rebecca, when you say "Your writing is inspired and inspirational for me." it means a great deal. Thank you.

Wendy said...

Hot, hot snickerdoodles on this plate held high above my head. You'll need to reach up I'm trying to keep them away from the elephant's trunk.

Oh there you are Christine. Welcome and congratulations on When We Were Amazing. Sorry but I drank a lot of that red wine off your cover.

Would you like some special orange juice, then you might like to dance with Pat's Finvarra. hehehe.

Christine London said...

Orange juice with vodka?? Why suuurrrreeee........

Wendy said...

Karen I like 'Where Muses collide'.
I don't like that you swatted a fairy. Thank goodness Pat was not here to see that. Now try swatting my bat. hehehe.
We need some music. Christine you are a singer. Will you lead in song?

Rosalie Skinner said...

Llamas spit.. that's so much worse than adder's spit. YUCK.
So, I dodge the doodles, while sipping champagne, chew the snickerdoodles and eye off the cheesecake. What bliss...
Did the decor just change again? Or did I drink Lea's ouzo by mistake.
I might have to stick to red wine, Christine's cover has my mouth watering.

M. L. Archer said...

I say congratulations and my best to everyone!

Karen Cote said...

Oh Rosalie! You're such a lady...hehehe.

Christine's cover is really cool, huh?

Could I have some cheesecake please? Chubby Bubby ate mine.

Wendy said...

Hey Rosalie,
Caleath wandered into the castle in the Glimmer. I hope he is all right.

Karen came up with a great name for the party 'Where Muses Collide' and Pat Dale came up with a great party drink -via the loop. 'Pina Collida'.

Rosalie Skinner said...

Karen...cheesecake, cutlery, plate and napkin? See, I can be a lady!! LOL. ML, is Mike Malone here too?
Champagne? Cheesecake.
How good is it not having to hide the cheesecake. :)
Hold on.. Karen, didn't Lea warn you about the cheesecake? Hmmm.. I won't tell.

Rosalie Skinner said...

Sweet.. Where Muses collide, good one Karen.. Pina collida, nice one Pat.. sounds as though the headache in the morning will be justified from all the collisions!
Caleath should be able to take care of himself by now. LOL. I hope the Glimmer is good to him.

Karen Cote said...

Shhhh Lady Rosalie! Don't say that too loud. You know Lea has ears everywhere!

Christine London said...

Hey...leave that glass of red on When We were Amazing alone! Bryan and Carrie are meeting to imbibe. No worries--plenty left from California. We have the best wine in the world here in the Golden state (sorry Bryan). Aussie wines are good but hey...

The song says "California Dreamin'"...not Melbourne dreaming.

:)

All the leave are brown and the skies are grey. I've been for a walk on a winters daaayyyy I'd be safe and warm...if I was in L.A....California dreamin....

oh yeah...I am in L.A.
lucky me!

Wendy said...

Hi Michelle,
don't you look lovely. It's not often ones sees a grown woman in a tutu. Oh it's Pat's 'quaint' characters at it again. Just wave a steel rod at them and they change you back into your own clothes.

Thank goodness Christine's Aussie Bryan owns a winery. He'll keep up the wine for the party. Remember he was Amazing!

I wish Edith would get here with the German beer.

I didn't mean for you to get Darren to sing, Christine. We want some Jazz.

Wendy said...

So glad you found the margaritas, Kat.
I would have brought them out sooner but I couldn't spell it. :)

Karen Cote said...

LOL Wendy...time for a blogger dictionary...

Ouch! What the ? Christine! Your singing shattered my wine glass...

Great tune and fantastic voice but darlin' hold those high notes.

Wendy said...

Oh, while I was snoring in Melbourne Christine was singing a real song. Lovely Christine. Now California dreaming will be playing in my head for the rest of the day.

I heard the Californian merlot is very nice but you should try some of our Rutherglen wines. I'll bet Bryan and Carrie would appreciate them.

Christine London said...

http://youtu.be/NXsORzXKnMs

There's Darren for you. Yes..."When We Were Amazing" included in the lyrics.
Now for jazz...hmmm
My group's fan page (A Choired Taste):
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=193591198787
a few audios embedded : "I Will" by the Beatles, Walkin My Baby Back Home and Java Jive (classic 40's tunes),and a Christmas tune "Candle of Hope"

Wendy said...

Karen that was my Swaravski crystal. Oh no. Oh well, something has to break at every party, hey that's cool. Maybe Christine could avoid the high C and sing something a little deeper, like O'l man river, that old man river he just keeps rollin' he keeps on rollin, along.

Wendy said...

Nice links Christine, thank you!

Christine London said...

Dang...looks like the files are no longer available on our group fan page Must talk to our fearless leader, Nick, to see what can be done...

Rosalie Skinner said...

doh... DOH.. DOH , RAY ME,... Just warming up the vocal chords... With the margaritas, the ouzo and the champas there is a risk I could break into song.
Are all the exits clearly marked?

Wendy said...

Rosalie, your singing is making me drowsy. I think I'll have a little nap under one of the long tressle tables. The time difference is catching up. I'm sure we will all feel revived after a little snooze.
Just pass me a large slice of that creamy chocolate sponge, first. Thank you.

Pat Dale said...

Anyone try one of Karen's pina collida's yet? It'll knock your head off. LOL
I was about to say you guys down under sure start the day at an interesting time. Then I remembered you're not only half a day off, you're upside down, too. Does it take special training to live in the southern hemisphere?
PD

Rosalie Skinner said...

A nana nap sounds like just the thing.. I reckon.. Creamy chocolate cake.. here you go... Might have some of that myself. Looks perfect.
Will soak up some of the cyber alcohol. I hope!!!

Rosalie Skinner said...

Pat, not once you get used to the whole upside down feeling... it's ok..
Filling glasses though can take some mastering. Lucky we have a little magic here too.

L. K. Below said...

Congrats on the releases, everyone!

Wendy said...

Hi Lindsay,
You are sooo welcome! Have a pina collida - I'll wait to see how it affects you before I try one.
With all the noise it's impossible to sleep. It's early afternoon but if I don't sleep now I won't be awake when the top side of the world is and I don't want to miss the 'Where Muses Collide' party.
Did you bring any strange food Lindsay. My croc shoes are getting up in arms when they see me munching on crocodile steaks.

The pina collida is your gig Pat, very clever.

Rosalie Skinner said...

Hi Lindsay,
I don't think Wendy appreciates my karioke. Hmm.. Maybe I will take my 'singing' off to the castle...
Shh... I will tip toe away and let her drift off.
Help yourself to the cheesecake, champus.. croc steaks..
Thanks for dropping in.

Laurel said...

"Where did you get all these lovely books?" Eunice asked husband Matt as she glanced through her ereader.
Matt kissed her. "From MuseIt Publishing. The books are out today." He caressed her bulging body. "The books should keep you off your feet." He kissed her again. "Who thought we would produce twins, a boy and a girl."
Eunice read from the ebook. "Exiled. Rosalie Skinner's third book. I loved her other books."
"So did I," said Matt.
Eunice continued, "Glancing Through the Glimmer - princes and fairies. When We Were Amazing - 14 hours in a jet plane. Blue Stars - science fantasy. Obstructed Vengenance - sadistic cold blooded killer...
"I'll have to read that one," said Matt.
"And one we should read together," said Eunice. "Champagne Afternoon."
"We'll keep that until after Dick and Dora arrive." Matt gathered her into his arms.
PS Looking into the future of Eunice and Matt, characters in my murder mystery, Murder Among the Roses.

Wendy said...

Hugs, Laurel. How lovely to see you here. Matt and Eunice will be very much at home in this party garden Among the Roses ;) Still lovely dovey I see. Well they would fit in well at MuseItHot if they weren't already very well settled and selling well. Eunice is the best scone maker I know. Hot with loads of jam and cream. Pass the plate and I think it's time for a cuppa tea.

Karen Cote said...

*karen tip-toes over Wendy's legs sticking out from under the table, saunters past Lady Rosalie curled up at the base of a tree, sucking her thumb?* Hehehe, have to remember that. *grabs the Snicker Doodles and picks up a fairy to shake some fairy dust over the top of the cookies, tickles the bat hanging upside down and finally slices a piece of cheesecake for chubby bubby blue and leads him out.*

"Til next time," she whispers, smiles and tip-toes out.

There's always a next time for Muse Releases. *sigh* And my friend, Wendy gives the bestest parties.

Wendy said...

Ah Ha. I see you Karen. It's not over yet. Not till the fat lady sings and we don't have any fat ladies. We are just getting ready for the next round. When Europe wakes up. You are such a good sport.

Rosalie Skinner said...

Sucking my thumb.. shhh.. no telling Karen.. it was covered in cinammon from the snickerdoodles...
And thanks Wendy, for not labelling me the 'fat lady'.. then again.. can't really call the noise I make 'singing'.
Look after cubby bubby, Karen... see you next time.

Pat McDermott said...

Back from three rounds of whist and two rounds of pool. Looks like you had more fun here! Hi Christine! Closing in on midnight here in New England. Will check back tomorrow and see who's left standing.

Wendy said...

Hi again, Pat. Nice to see you here again. Are you heading into the Glimmer? We'll be here when you return. Good that you missed seeing Karen accidentally swat a fairy. Well we aren't sure and we counted 2 so maybe she didn't.

Carole said...

Congratulations to you all on your new books. Would love to come to your party; thanks for asking me. It’s midday here in WA – just got time to hustle up some Tawny Taters, for those that like them, along with the bottle of pink Champagne. You won’t mind if I bring a friend? Ratz, the only witness to a double murder, could have told them ‘whodunnit’ if they’d only asked him. He’s having a day off from his duties in Blood Opal, guarding his missus, chasing the cat, never mind following that suspicious character wearing a seaman’s cap.
Ratz’s favourite ‘F’ word is Food – so when he heard Spitzli was going to a party, he sat up and begged to be taken along. Cheers Everyone!!!
Carole

Rosalie Skinner said...

Ratz and Spitzli just stole a string of snags off the bbq!! The bat is dive bombing them... look out near the ice sculpture...it's ony just been repaired!!
Spitzli.. you are supposed to be taking it easy after your op!!

Hi Carole...can I fill your glass... Tawny taters sound perfect! Thanks!!

Wendy said...

Hey Carole,
We love your tawny tatters. Karen sprinkled fairy dust over everything so for a short time Spitzli's leg is okay. Lovely to see Ratz. Good luck with the sales of Blood Opal. Don't the new Muse books look sensational. Muse authors are so lucky to have such a dedicated team. Now I'm getting all misty
Here have some ouzo.

Tricia McGill said...

Better late than never, so they say. One good thing about arriving late is that you can read what everyone else has had to say. Phew! so many messages to read through. Sounds as if you've had a wow of a time. It's nearly five pm here in my part of Oz which means it's coming up to my dinner time. And the dogs reckon it's definitely past their dinner time. I doubt there is any food left here anyway and you are all probably feeling very sleepy after the food and alcohol you've consumed.
Remy, my current hero and I just wanted to congratulate every one with a new release today. Here's wishing you many, many sales.
Good night and God Bless.

Rosalie Skinner said...

Tricia, Great to see you. Ahh, that time of the day.
Will have to re supply the bbq and refill a few plates.
Never late in cyber space...
I feel sure Ratz and Spitzli will share their fare with your dogs. So, bring them along too!!
Remy, thank you, too. You are more than welcome to stay!

Wendy said...

Tricia, over here, waves, I have some kangaroo steaks for hungry little mouths. So glad you are here. There is plenty of fresh food arriving every minute. It's lovely to have people wander in and mingle from all over the world. And no washing up! Remy is looking especially lovely in the sunlight. Her hair is glistening. Glad she came with you.
It's been a big day for our guests of honour. But there is still plenty of cyber time left in this party.

edithparzefall said...

Hi everyone,

Congratulations to Lin, Rosalie, Pat McD, PJ, Christine and Pat Dale.

I've brought a keg of German beer and pretzels, and for those with a sweet tooth, Nuernberger Lebkuchen (gingerbread).

Wish you all great success with your newly released books!

Edith

edithparzefall said...

And here comes Furnace, my sparkly blue dragon.

*Furnace licks Rosalie's face*

Don't get burned, Rosalie! Well, he definitely remembers you. Hey, you never told me where you found him.

edithparzefall said...

Did I mention I'm the proud owner of The Legacy of Lathraine's Pledge?

Your minstrel 'recaps' are such a brilliant idea, Rosalie!

“If you arrived late, my friends, and need to learn how our story starts draw a seat, fill your flagon, and let me outline what has gone before.”

Perfect. For your faithful readers it's still fun to read the recap in such a different fashion.

Rosalie Skinner said...

Hi Edith, Ouch, Sorry, just had to put some ice on my cheek. Furnace is very friendly.
I am so glad you like the minstrel. I didn't want readers to need to labour through a foreword, but felt a need to somehow recap what went earlier.
Thank you for being the first to buy the book. Hope the ink is dry!!!
Now.. I wonder if German beer and gingerbread is good for curing burns. :)

Rosalie Skinner said...

Furnace... if you cast your mind back to our last blog party, that got way out of control... there was a stranger selling black market dragon eggs...
Lisa and I hunted him down... and relieved him of his last blue tinted egg.
It was an eventful encounter. The scars are healing well.
I don't think the stranger will be stealing any more eggs.

Hi Edith ...and Furnace, I think. Your lovely gingerbread cookies(Nuernberger Lebkuchen) arrived in the nick of time. I ate the last one we bought from Aldi. It's dinnertime here but for some reason I'm still hungry. I guess my earlier cream filled meringues weren't as filling as they look.

Is Europe just walking up to a brand new day?

So, Edith, you'll have good news to share on the author's loop as soon as Lea paves the way, won't you? We must try to keep the grin off our faces in case we give the game away, hey Rosalie?

So lets raise our glasses to all of our Muse authors old and new and salute the wonderful Muse team who made these books a reality. Happy Reading.

edithparzefall said...

German beer is perfect for curing almost anything.

I'd forgotten about the black market guy with the dragon eggs, but I'm not surprised after the strange drinks I gulped down at the last party.

Can I have orange juice this time? :-)

edithparzefall said...

Hi Wendy!

Another great party, my dear.

For a salute to all Muse authors I better add some champagne to my orange juice. Oh my, there goes my resolve again. :-)

Cheers everyone!

Rosalie Skinner said...

Ahh Edith, Orange juice.. sure, but hmm.. be careful you get the juice straight from the bottle... there is some spiked orange juice around, somewhere...

We used it to dilute the champus earlier in the day. ;)
That worked well... for a short while. Then Lea arrived and the ouzo started to flow.

Rosalie Skinner said...

Cheers Edith! Can we join you in celebrating too?

edithparzefall said...

You're most welcome to celebrate with me. MuseItUp publishing is going to publish my thriller Strays of Rio, set in Brazil!

Yahoo!

And since Lea brought the Ouzo, I can't resist having a small straight one, even though it's only nine in the morning over here. :-)

Cheers!

edithparzefall said...

As a big fan of The Unhewn Stone and Caleath's Chronicles, I feel I couldn't be in better company. After reading the excerpts on Wendy's blog, I'm sure there are many more great authors with The Muse.

Rosalie Skinner said...

Congratulations and CHEERS!!! It is wonderful to welcome you to the Muse family!!!
*does a happy dance, with Furnace flying circles spitting flames*
Ouzo it is then.. And then I fall down!!!
Cheers!!! To Edith, and Strays of Rio!!!

edithparzefall said...

Thank you, Rosalie! I might just fall over myself after the spiked OJ and ouzo. :-) But hey, we've got a lot to celebrate!

Rosalie Skinner said...

And we are moving into evening.. while you are starting your day... hmm...
Don't worry, I am in the mood to celebrate tonight!!!
I might fall down, but I will get up again... if only to throw up!!! LOL
But what great reasons to celebrate...

Rosalie Skinner said...

Wendy, Furnace just set the sybil's wings alight. She's not happy. I think we should cover the food...
Do you have a fire extinguisher handy?
Where is Karen and her obedience training classes?
Do you know how to explain to Furnace that it's not a really good idea to ignite the bunting? You have done obedience with Spitzli.. what's the command for NO FLAME??

edithparzefall said...

Ooops, sorry about that. I usually keep Furnace in the bathroom... I'd sure like to know the 'No flames' command!

Over here, Furnace. Sit. No, sit! Not fly!

FireMummy said...

Lucky I brought my fire extinguisher with me. Safety first!

Does the no flame rule apply to me too? or can I light up my fire poi? :)

Congratulations to all the Muse authors. I'll have some champagne to help you all celebrate. *cheers!*

edithparzefall said...

Hey FireMummy, I'm glad you're here. You might be able to save some of Wendy's house.

I'd say, you can light up whatever you like as long as you keep the extinguisher at hand. :-)

Rosalie Skinner said...

I will hold the extinguisher... You hold Furnace incase he gets too excited Edith...
Go for it Firemummy!!! I love the sound of twirling fire poi.

FireMummy said...

**woosh woosh**

Rosalie Skinner said...

Look at Furnace and the bat, they are flying in formation trying to keep up with the swirling poi.
Pat's fairies are coming out of the shadows to watch.
It's quite mesmerising.
When you have done a burn, Fire mummy there's plenty of German beer and fancy gingerbread to feast on.

Lisa said...

Congratulations to you all! Most especially to lady Rosalie on the release of her magical, third chronicle of Caleath's journey! *yay*

edithparzefall said...

I'm not sure I'll ever be able to catch Furnace again. Don't know why but he seems to like the bat!

Rosalie Skinner said...

Thanks Lisa... did you hear the twirling fire?
Did you see Furnace, Edith's baby dragon flying around. Apart from the few fires he's started, he's behaving pretty well.

Rosalie Skinner said...

hmm.. Edith, have you explained the way of boy dragons and girl dragons.. hmm. the birds and bees probably doesn't work... Does he see the bat as a female...

Lisa, help yourself to the bbq, the fridge and we even have cheesecake with permission from Lea!!

FireMummy said...

I could really use a beer! It's been a long day and fire spinning is hard work! I would love a slice of cheesecake too. Yummo. My favourite!

Rosalie Skinner said...

Beer it is.. Firemummy and cheese cake. All the varities you could wish for. Thanks for twirling.
I guess Furnace will sleep well tonight.

Lisa said...

Oh yes, I saw the baby dragon. He is soooo cute! *squee*

Thanks for the offer of food but I think I'll just hand you this congratulatory bottle of wine (about 3/4 congratulated) and pass out under the catering table if thats ok? If there are any cinnamon thingies left just shove them in my coat pockets and I'll have them for breakfast.. OParty On!

Rosalie Skinner said...

I think Karen took most of the snickerdoodles. I'll check if we have any, any we saved from the bat.

Ahh... one last drink then, that'll empty the bottle... Cheers. Thanks.

Here, one last plate of snickerdoodles. Help yourself.
Feel free to collapse anywhere. Watch out for bat droppings.. but other than that.. make yourself at home. I think I will pass out quietly too.

Wendy said...

I've been overcome with smoke inhalation but I see you have the fire under control. Those pesky little dragons had better watch out. Look to the skies. Above glides Lilith the giant Dragon Queen from 'The Elfin Bride' she crunches egrets for snacks in passing and her metallic scaled tail wipes out all in her path. Everyone duck under the table with Lisa. It's the only safe place.

edithparzefall said...

Ha, Furnace the little coward is hiding in my jacket. I better not let go of him again. :-)

I think the Dragon Queen is gone. You think it's save to crawl out and have a cheese cake, Wendy?

Wendy said...

Well, it's worth a try. We haven't had any of Lea's cheesecake for a while and it is a Muse thing. It used to be that no one was allowed to touch it today Lea said we can have some so lets get stuck into it.
It's time for the Aussie to sleep. I hope to see some NH people tomorrow. Thank you all of making this Launch party extra special for the new releases of 11.11.11

Pat McDermott said...

Good night, Wendy. It's good morning here in New Hampshire, and officially Release Day! I brought my world famous Buffalo Chicken Dip. Will save you some. Sleep well!

edithparzefall said...

Congratulations, Pat! Glancing Through the Glimmer sounds very intriguing. I'm a big fan of Ireland and the fairy folk.

Pat McDermott said...

Thanks so much, Edith. You've probably met a few of those fairies here...if they let you see them, that is. Or they might be under the table. They do like their wine!

edithparzefall said...

Yes, I think I've seen them flutter around during previous parties. Always charming! :-)

edithparzefall said...

I love the first sentence of your blurb:

"In the modern Kingdom of Ireland, few mortals believe in the fairy folk."

Had me go: Huh? What? Ah, oh, yes, nice. :-) Definitely draws attention.

Wish you great success with the book!

Pat McDermott said...

Love those "Huh?" moments! The story is an alternate history. In it, High King Brian Boru survived the Battle of Clontarf and established a dynasty that rules Ireland to this day. Of course, the fairies don't care who rules what.

Christine London said...

Hi Pat...at midnight EST for you. I am now awake here in Los Angeles. Me and my cold/flu...I've decided I fought it off long enough and now am crumpled into a pile of aches and pains. Me and my NaNo novel (on page 57, thank you very much)

All that aside--it is a glorious 11/11/11 Veterans day--Remembrance Day. I salute my father--WWII PB4Y pilot, photographic missions. I salute my man--retired Coast Guard Officer, I salute my girl--Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corp. (Seventy women began Officer candidate School--19 graduated. No special treatment for women in the corp. They are awesome rock hard bodies and spirits)
I salute all the Muse authors who have shown the tenacity and tough hide necessary to become a published author in today's publishing climate. and most of all--congratulation to the new releases today 11-11-11!

Love y'all, readers and authors,

Pat McDermott said...

Well said, Christine. I haven't forgotten that today is more than our release day.

Viviane Brentanos said...

Great party. Lets hit the beer, all washed down with a good dose of Dareen
Yey, congrats to all

Pat McDermott said...

Hi Viviane! Not too loud, the Down Under folks are still sleeping. But yes, let's open something. What time is it in Corfu?

Viviane Brentanos said...

Okay, just got a transatlantic wet noodle from our glorious leader. She can't believe I came to the party only bearing beer. In my defense, it was good old Mythos Greek beer but as I am not over fond of soggy pasta, I return bearing Ouzo, tzatziki, olives, saganaki, pitas. We may be in crisis but we Greeks still now how to party. Yammas.

Pat McDermott said...

Whoa! The opposite of a lullaby for sure. Got one with good-looking guys dancing?

Wendy said...

How ya goin' mates? Savage Garden in the Paty Garden! That's enough to bring anyone out from Down Under the table :) Good thinking Viviane! So your real day begins. This will always be an extra special Remembrance Day for you.

Edith, glad to see you've met Pat and you must meet Christine who is totally responsible for me finding MIU. Christine's new novel is about an Aussie wine maker. Maybe when you were here you visited his winery. I'm pretty sure you visited most of them hahaha.

Lovely new food from Viviane. Thanks. I'll try the tzatziki and saganaki. Greek beer and German beer! Will this be a competition!

Rosalie Skinner said...

*yawn* What's that racket? Did you hear the noise?
Goodness I must have been dreaming. I will blame the... hold on.. look at the Ouzo, tzatziki, olives, saganaki, pitas.
Sweet... Breakfast is going to be interesting.
After coffee...and painkillers.

If only the fairies would stop hammering on the inside of my head.
Morning.

Christine London said...

Wendy, I did indeed visit him whilst I was there. Though not a winemaker, he head the decidedly same attitude about uni and whether is was all worth it.

Yes..went wine tasting as well. Even had a Kangie steak at one of them.

Rosalie Skinner said...

Christine, if you brought Wendy to the Muse, then you cane take some responsiblity for bringing me here too!! It was Wendy who told me about Lea's move into publishing.
So.. thanks.. I reckon that's worth another toast.
Though at this stage, honey on toast and coffee are about it.

Wendy said...

ah. so he's really real, Christine. I must read this book. Congratulations on this wonderful day. Is it just as exciting to have this new release as it was for your first novel?

Christine London said...

No use keeping Muse a secret. I am so glad you are here too, Rosalie!

Rosalie Skinner said...

Christine, sorry to hear you are nurturing the flu. Hope you beat it soon. They say lots of fluid and rest.
Good luck with the Nano.

I am thinking those Buffalo wings smell tempting. Pat left them and they look like 'second' breakfast food.

Wendy said...

Ah Ha that is quite true Rosalie and I guess that means that Christine is responsible for Edith joining our Muse family too. Talk about 6 degrees of separation. I love it when you get to see the ripple effect.
Honey on toast to toast you Rosalie and your 5 releasees. Well Done! and much success!

Wendy said...

Californian wine to toast you Christine and your 5 releasees. Yahoo! What an achievement!

Christine London said...

Nothing can quite top your first novel. Like your first love, it will always be special. That said--each and everyone is like a new child--loved in his or her own way.

Pat McDermott said...

Buffalo wings? They were Buffalo Chicken Dip when I brought it. Where are those fairies! Hey, I'm glad you're all here, no matter what bus brought you.

Christine London said...

Wendy, as we know...Lea only contracts the very best, so pat on each and every back for your tenacity and talent.

Rosalie Skinner said...

It's a great family to be part of. :)

Thanks so much for your commentary on the Muse retreat last weekend. Was it only a week ago?
So, did you bring the flu back from Montreal, as part of the sharing?

Christine London said...

This is actually my tenth release--not all Muse. Each is so very special in y heart. Perhaps for Veterans/Remembrance day we should be reading my U.S. Coast Guard rescue mission gone wrong tale, "Against the Current"
Grant Cooper is England 's finest. He's on a four-year tour of duty as an exchange flight officer to the United States Coast Guard. Always the man in control, he's the model of the perfect Search And Rescue pilot. It's not command that Julie MacKinnon fancies. She dumped him once in protest. After all, there are enough constraints in her life as an Emergency room nurse and volunteer Coast Guard Auxiliary crewwoman. When fate throws the two back together in the middle of a heart pounding emergency.
At Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Against-The-Current-ebook/dp/B003XNTSMM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1321044785&sr=8-1

Rosalie Skinner said...

Damn fairies, or do I need to put my glasses on?
The coffee hasn't kicked in yet.
Morning Pat!!
Love those ripple effects.

Christine London said...

Actually I think I was beginning to get sick on the plane ride there. Dang if it is not hanging on and morphing into other permutations.too many late nights and early morning will catch up to you! All worth it!

Rosalie Skinner said...

Planes are famous for sharing bugs.
At least while you snuggle up warm and quiet you have a wonderful weekend to remember.
Mind you, we were all there in spirit. We just didn't share the flu.
;)

"Lest We Forget"
We took time out yesterday for remembering. Crowds at the cenotaph, overcast skies at eleven oclock, as if they too paused in memory.

Rosalie Skinner said...

So Pat, my encyclopedia doesn't mention Buffalo's with wings, and I can't imagine a Buffalo being a chicken either... so what have those Fairies been up to?
There's no cinammon in the flavouring is there?

Wendy said...

Here's to you Pat McD. I raise a buffalo drumstick and glass of champagne to you and your 5 co launchees today! Happy Release Day and losts of success.

Alix said...

Congrats everyone! Each one has pricked my interest. Which is a shocker for those who know me. *smirk* As I'm a picky reader, so kudos for snagging my attention. Now I'm off to go back over the checkbook and see if I can possibly grab a few now...instead of waiting. *grin* Patience is NOT a virtue I possess, sadly.

Pat McDermott said...

No cinnamon. Just fairy dust, apparently. I think they called them that because they were first made in Buffalo, NY, but I don't know. I only know the Buffalo Chicken Dip is to die for. One of those things you make for an appetizer and end up having for dinner. I'm off for a bit. Time for Friday afternoon cocktails with my writing classmates. Be back soon!

Wendy said...

'lots' as in 'loads of', 'tons', 'heap' 'A number one at the top of the heap'... these little town blue oo oos are melting...hic

Wendy said...

grabs Alex by the arm

Welcome - come to the table and grab a large slice of cheesecake. Have some of the wine off Christine's cover, She'll be mad but we won't tell.
Listen shh be patient, you might win one of these wonderful books. shh

Christine London said...

That you might. We have a few books to give away..do we not?

Wendy said...

Yes, we do, we sure do. There will be some lucky winners whenever this party ends.

Rosalie Skinner said...

Hi Alix,
There will be some winners for sure!!
Did you bring Joy and Jay with you?
We don't mind shape shifting as long as it doesn't scare the dogs.
Wendy's bat does it all the time.

Alix said...

Ohhhh...cheesecake! And wine too? We're partying it up now. *laugh*

No I didn't bring Joy she's comforting Jay at the moment. I had to leave Jay to deal with the fact he has to use his brith name instead of his nickname...he's been grumbling about it all day. *rolls eyes* Men are SO tempermental I swear! Those two closeested away together...somewhere here. *chuckle* Lea's not gonna snag the cheesecake...is she? *bite lip* I'm dying for a piece of heaven right now. *looking around* Are we in the clear?

Rosalie Skinner said...

Alix, we are in the clear! Lea dropped by earlier and gave permission to EAT the CHEESECAKE!!! So, help yourself. I will grab you a plate, and eating implements.. oh and a napkin...
Let me fill your glass...
Don't worry about Jay and Joy ... they might find their way to Pat's castle.

Killarney said...

Congrats fellow musers! I would love to stay and party but I have 4 newspaper articles to write this weekend. Yup, time for a major raise!

Alix said...

Cheesecake free and clear. Saweet! My mouth is watering. *laugh* We actually have permission to eat it too...nice!

I didn't think about that. Knowing them that's probably exactly where they went. Which is a good thing too, big kitties and little doggies don't get along that well. *snicker* Hopefully, Jay -mostly- won't cause too much havoc at Pat's castle. If he does, I apologize now beforehand. *smile* I did tell them to behave.

Wendy said...

Hi Killarney, thanks for dropping by. You are enjoying so much success now as a columnist in your job. Big Congratulations to you too. You sooooo deserve it. We are all proud of you! Cheers, raising my 'orange juice' I salute you.

Wendy said...

Alix, they can cause havoc in Pat's castle - it's just a replica. You should have been here when the dragons almost burnt the entire garden and Karen thought she'd swatted a fairy. If it hadn't been for Fire Mumy extinguishing the fire and Lisa hiding under the table ... I had to call on my Dragon Queen to sort out the little dragons, but she couldn't stay long because she's just a wip.

Now that you've enjoyed the cheesecake would you like some Aussie pavlova. My favourite, especially for breakfast -no kidding.

Rosalie Skinner said...

Killarney, Good on you!!!
I am now away to make fairy floss.. how appropriate is that? Wonder if Fin will join me? Imagine fairy floss covered with fairy dust.
If he promises to behave he can come...
Back soon...

Alix said...

Aussie pavlova? Sounds delicious. What is it, might I ask?

As long as it's a replica. Not that they are super destructive, but if they get it in their heads to invite friends and family...yeah. *laugh*

Sounds like it was fun. Dragons and fairies? Nice. *smile* I just have kitties, Dire, immortals and deities...I think it would be best if my goddess remains locked into her WIP at the moment. She can be testy unless her mate is nearby. *snicker* But my shifters are safe to romp...well, for the most part anyway. *grin* They do have their moments.

Wendy said...

So you actually make fairy floss Rosalie. That is very clever. I've only seen it make in great vats at the Show.

Pavlova is a large meringue but with a thich marshmallow texture (melts in the mouth) topped with whipped cream and piled high with strawberries, kiwi fruit and other fruit of your choice -often drizzled in passionfruit. Here, Alix, try a wedge - want a scoop of icecream with that.

Alix said...

Yes please, thank you. *smile*

Mouth watering. Does it add to the hips? If it does, well...oh what the heck. It's a party. I'll just have to dance it off later. *laugh*

Wendy said...

As Rosalie is want to say: There are no calories in cyber food so enjoy all of it. But if you are really worried you can have this piece with fat reduced custard instead of cream, but I wouldn't hehehe.

Alix said...

That's right! Cyber food is the best food there is. *chuckle* No fat, no nothing. *snicker* I'll take the original and let it melt in my mouth. *grin* No worries about these hips.

Pat McDermott said...

It's not my castle, guys! It belongs to the fairies. If you do go in, don't eat or drink anything they offer you, or you'll be trapped there forever! Stay here and eat the cheesecake.

Wendy said...

Oh Dear. We'd better send Nasith into the castle to warn Caleath and Jay, then. Oh dear, oh dear! :)

Pat McDermott said...

Oh dear indeed. I did try to warn you. Do NOT dance with Finvarra!

Tricia McGill said...

Wow, this has been some party! I've been to bed, got up, taken the dogs for a walk, gone to the shops, had my lunch and still it goes on...
It's a wonder anyone is still standing after all the food and drink that has been consumed. Sounds as if fun has been had by all.

Pat McDermott said...

It's the fairies, Tricia. They have hollow legs.

Alix said...

Now should I be worried? I mean, Jay is being a pain right now, but I don't wanna lose him...well at least not yet. *laugh*

Alix said...
This comment has been removed by the author.
Alix said...

Darn thing popped it up twice. *laugh* These are the choices I get...no account can't post, not allowed to post...or it puts one post up more then once. What in the world? *snicker*

I see everyone's still jamming along and having a grand time. *grin* Which is awesome btw.

gail roughton branan said...

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL!!!!!!!!

Pat McDermott said...

Alix, your comment posted twice? Darn fairies! Finvarra, I warned you to behave!

Pat McDermott said...

Thank you, Gail! Have some Buffalo Chicken Dip and Ouzo. Unless the fairies have turned the dip back into wings...

gail roughton branan said...

Y'all did NOT take fairy wings and make dip did you?!?!?!?!?

Pat McDermott said...

No. My fairies don't have wings. But come to think of it, maybe that's why... Hmm... No, I think those wings were from buffaloes

Rosalie Skinner said...

Phew... fairy floss delivered to a zillion little fairy look alikes. Finvarra behaved perfectly. I did see a few children changed into frogs, and lions, but they changed back when their mother's called them.
Now, is there any coffee left?
I might try some Buffalo Chicken dip now...
Today is MacHappy Day... so I will admit I have had my annual dose of junk food.
Ronald McDonald House in Newcastle was home to my daughter and her partner when their daughter arrived 100 days early. So.. that's my excuse.

Rosalie Skinner said...

I'm still not convinced Buffalo's ever had wings either... but hey... we write fiction.. what we say GOES!!!

I haven't seen hide nor hair of Caleath, Nasith or Jay.. do you think they ate or drank through the glimmer?
Hmm.. Will be awkward completing the series if I lose my main characters.
When should I start to worry?

Wendy said...

That's it. That does it. Junk food it is. Just what we need right now. Okay pass over a big Mac. Make it two. I'll give some to the fairies with hollow legs. Tricia try a buffalo drumstick that should keep going through the night.
Gail, maybe you can bring some sanity back to the garden. Rosalie even made real fairy floss. Truly. Thank you so much for being here. You are from the proper side of the world aren't you? This down under side is beginning to make me giddy. Do you love the savage garden music Viviane linked us too a few comments back.

Rosalie Skinner said...

Making fairy floss is sort of fun, if you like being covered is fine grains of sugar and then fine strands of sugar that turn into sticky pink glue.
Working the centrifuge and collecting the gossomer threads is cool but becomes less exciting after an hour or so... and the stickyness... hmmm. The sugar gets in the fine hair on your arms, eyelashes, skin, it coats your clothes and hmm... in hot humid weather... well.. I will let you imagine it.

Two Big Macs... you want fries with that?

Jenna Storm said...

Congratulations to all of you with releases! It's so nice to see pictures along with blurbs and covers. I wish you the best of luck with sales :)

Jenna Storm said...

Oops! I forgot to snag a Snicker Doodle! Got it. Now I'm really happy.

Rosalie Skinner said...

Jenna, the snickerdoodles are very popular. Watch the bat doesn't try to steal them.
Great to see you here, make yourself at home. Anything amiss, we are blaming Pat's fairies.
A word of warning... don't visit the castle. IF you are tempted to.. make sure you don't go there on an empty stomach. ;)
We've lost a few of our characters that way.

Wendy, could the dragon Queen perhaps fetch them back for us? Does she do rescues from beyond the glimmer?

Alix said...

I was kinda hoping Jay was just still upset...should I be worried now? I did find Joy...but Jay wasn't with her. She hasn't started pacing yet.

Sinckerdoodles are the bomb! Oh and the cheesecake. *grin*

Rosalie Skinner said...

The cheesecake is awesome.. Love the way it doesn't add inches to the waist. LOL.

Hmm.. so that's Jay and Caleath and Nasith.
Wendy... have you seen Stefan today? He's been very quiet. Has he been drawn to the fairy dance too? Even with a limp... he might have been tempted. Fin can be very persuasive.

Now you mention it...Jenna grabbed a snickerdoodle and I didn't see the bat... Would our luck extend to the sybil disappearing?

Wendy said...

Hi Jenna, Duck!! oh just in time Pat's fairy king threw a kangaroo steak righ over your head.

I'm sorry Rosalie the Dragon Queen can't come out in daylight because she's still a work in progress. She might never see the light of day!

It's time to send in Gwilt's wolf and the Mage Rosalie. They should be able to rescue Jay.

Rosalie Skinner said...

Right Wendy, and if they dont' come back? Hmm...
We might need your WIP to become a reality.
Ok.. I will see Gwilt, Cyd and Penwryt are are prepared to face the fairies!!
Fingers crossed...or whatever you do to ward of The King of Fairy's spells.
Maybe Pat could help out with some advice.

Alix said...

This is fun. *grin* Awesome party Wendy! The food was great -and fat free! Oh, and I didn't get drunk either. *snicker* Meaning no trouble for me...Jay on the other hand...I think when he's found I'll let Joy take care of him. *smirk* Although...he might enjoy that. *frown* Rotten bugger. I bet he's having fun and making friends. *smile* Could be worse...oh I hope it's not worse. *chews nails*

Rosalie Skinner said...

I heard a wolf howl... I wonder if Gwilt and Cyd are in trouble, or are they letting us know they have found Jay and the others.
Hmm..
Yeah.. the nails get bitten a lot at Wendy's parties.

How come I have only had cyber drinks, but I have a real headache? Is that fair?

Alix said...

Oh, Roaslie, you have a cyber headache from drinking too much? Um...can that happen? *raise eyebrows* I mean, can THAT really happen? I certainly hope not. Because that would just not be cool. At all. *smirk*

I hope they found Jay...geesh...men and their mood swings. *snicker* And they complain about women. Ha!

Hope your headache leaves you in peace. I really hate when they attack. And always when you really don't want them.

Rosalie Skinner said...

hehe... Alix, I don't think it is from the cyber drinks... but from spinning fairy floss in the hot sun and humidity! Could be from indulging in junk food, rather than cyber food.
Thank goodness for those handy little painkillers, hey!!

I think I can hear Jay and the others returning from the castle. hmm. They sound in high spirits.
I bet they don't even know we were worried.
Hmm.

Alix said...

I didn't think about your spinning. Yes, the junk food could do it too. *sigh* And it tastes so good. *chuckle*

Figures...Jay would leave in a huff, Joy returns -not worried- I worry and he's been out having a jolly ol'time. *shakes head* I swear he does it on purpose. Yes, it is highly unlikely they knew we were worried. Having too much fun. *laugh* at least no one got hurt.

I'm adding the 'yet' here because I'm certain Joy's gonna make him pay. *smirk* Is it a bad thing that I'm smiling about that? *snicker*
