 PAT MCDERMOTT

Pat's Novel is GLANCING THROUGH THE GLIMMER

Cover Artist: Kaytalin Platt

In the modern Kingdom of Ireland, few mortals believe in the fairy folk.
Without that belief, the fairies are dying. Finvarra, the King of the
Fairies, would rather dance than worry-but he must have a mortal dancing
partner.

When Janet Gleason's grandfather becomes the new U.S. Ambassador to Ireland,
the sixteen-year-old orphan must leave Boston and her friends behind. Janet
is lonely in Dublin and unused to her grandparents' stuffy social life. An
invitation to a royal ball terrifies her. She can't even waltz and dreads
embarrassment. Finvarra's fairy witch overhears her fervent wish to learn to
dance.

Seventeen-year-old Prince Liam Boru loathes the idea of escorting another
spoiled American girl to a ball. In fact, he detests most of his royal
duties. He dresses down to move through Dublin unnoticed and finds himself
on his royal backside when Janet crashes into him. Intrigued, he asks to see
her again, and she willingly agrees. Unaware of each other's identities,
they arrange to meet. When they do, the fairies steal Janet away.

Liam's attempts to find her trigger a series of frustrating misadventures.
Can he and Janet outwit a treacherous fairy king who's been hoodwinking
mortals for centuries?

 WHEN WE WERE AMAZING

Cover Artist: Delilah K Stephans

Blurb
Fourteen freaking hours in the hell that was the interior of a jet plane. He tried to read, listen to music, watch a film. Nothing. He could see nothing but her lying in a hospital bed, tubes and technology running from her, surrounding her with their manufactured sterility. She needed to be touched. He needed to touch her. Make sure she was warm, well, alive.

A nagging weight lodged in the pit of his stomach. No food, no drink, just her. She was the cure.

He slid the sunshade up. The first rays of light sliced across the horizon as they chased the day at thirty six thousand feet. He could scarcely make out the scallop of cumulus below as they drifted by. The world went on, not caring a thing for the concerns of man. His world was suspended like an insect in amber. The rest of humanity could look in at him, but he was paralyzed to act, to move, to breathe.

Available from Amazon and Muse Bookstore 'When We Were Amazing'

BLUE STREAKS

This science fantasy romp is not what it seems. Ostensibly a foray into the inner reaches of space, the characters take you for a spin into a digital existence that literally lights your fire. Then douses it, permanently. One jolly good romp in the hay and it is sayonara, baby. Police Detective Jim Smith chases the horny, high-charged devil down as it fries victim after victim. When he goes digital as a part of the chase, the conclusion looms, but with a twist that could not have been anticipated. Sweet dreams! Read and enjoy, but whatever else you do, do not hit the escape key…

Contains graphic sex, and is not for the young or the faint of heart.

LOL... no.. I think a 'smirk' is warranted here!!
I hope Joy knows her stuff. Won't be put off by Jay's smile and serious pout.
I need to regrow my nails. It's only fair they pay for their gallavanting off having a good time. They were supposed to behave as Wendy's guests.

Unknown said...

Yes, Joy knows her stuff concerning Jay. She nabs him every time and he tries to play on MY sympathies. *laugh* Like I'm gonna save his butt. *snort* Not likely.

Oh I agree there. Gotta grow them back quick and...idk...ground them from the next party? *snicker*

I'm just greatful Jay didn't scare anyone. He's had his moments before. *rolls eyes* He enjoys playing. *smile*

Rosalie Skinner said...

You could be right. I saw Jay looking sheepishly toward Nasith. Joy was onto him in a heartbeat. Probably just as well.

I think she's got his measure. He might think he's the alpha male, but I think I know who rules in the relationship. *wink wink*

Unknown said...

Yep that's about it too. *snicker* All Alpha until the female shows up. we know who rules the roost. *grin*

Joy accused him of looking at other females to get her going. I wouldn't doubt that. *laugh*

Rosalie Skinner said...

Well, something has upset the storm gods here. Might have to batten down the hatches and ride it out.
The change in pressure could explain the headache too.
Will go and hide under the catering table for a while...
Help youself to the cheesecake and German beer.
I'm off to hide until the thunderbolts and lightning cease.
Might grab one of the new releases and check it out until the heavens clear.

I think all is well. Caleath and Cyd are strolling back through the glimmer and the fairies are taking their castle back to Ireland. Real fairy floss is sticking to Rosalie's arms and Jay is hugging Joy. Savage Garden has left the garden so I think while we have peace we should shut the garden gate. Soon our guests of honour will chose the winners of their books. Until next time dear Muse sisters ... blessings and my your muse incite you to write. :)

Everyone is still partying! Well, I will scramble some eggs so we can have breakfast! Giddy congratulations to all of the new authors! (Bloody Marys for all!)

gail roughton branan said...

Rosalie, Dalph still hasn't come home and that was just an interview, not a book launch, so he ain't even legal yet. I told you we couldn't take characters out in public. They'll come back in a month or two.

gail roughton branan said...

Oh, no, Wendy, I'm not from the proper side! I'm from the American South! Separate culture entirely. So dont look for any sanity from me, we gave the world the Redneck Comedy Tour!

gail roughton branan said...

Oh, great! Y'all are getting up? Haven't left? Bloody Mary please. Yes, delightful.

Pat Dale said...

Wow! What a party! Almost makes me want to release another one next week but maybe I'd better sober up first. LOL
PD

I wanna thank all who came and apologize for not being here. I had to visit a far off planet yesterday to quell an uprising from my new WIP. Let me just say quelling the uprising on this planet was important for all of us. I suffered...boy howdy did I suffer. My industrial strength gas shield failed, and you sooo don't want your gas shield to fail on a planet that produces Methane as it's breathable gas. YUCK!

But I quelled the uprising and the Universe is safe once more.

Love you All...and Wendy...from the bottom of my heart, thank you for your generous heart.

P.S. I apologize for deleting the last comment...which is this one but I noticed after posting it, my barin is lopping...My shield musta failed more than I realized.(Believe me you know when you're not breathing methane and not the canned oxygen in your tank...let me just repeat that YUCK comment from earlier.) Anyone know how long it takes to get Methane out of your brain cells?

Rosalie Skinner said...

Gail, I will send out a search party for Dalph. Immediately... well just after a strong cup of coffee...
Does he have a strong southern accent too? Relax and drink your bloody mary and try some of our Aussie pavlova.. the sugar will send you so high you won't worry about Dalph. He'll be back.
PD... so you reckon sobering up is a good idea? I think you are right. Today it's coffee and fruit, salad and all the 'good for you' stuff. I think even with cyber food I have put on weight!

Lin so glad you could make it. Thanks for saving the Universe!!
How long to get methane out of your brain cells... not sure. Suck in the oxygen!! and watch out for the baby dragon, Furnace... don't want to mix methane and fire. He's not quite house trained yet.

Rosalie Skinner said...

M. L. I will take some of those scrambled eggs... There is fresh bacon to go with them.
Fresh coffee is brewing too.
*yawns*
Thank goodness we don't have to clean up after one of Wendy's parties.
Plenty of time to relax and read a good book!

gail roughton branan said...

Rosalie, are you still partying? No darlin', Dalph's the King of Trusca, alternate world, through the Bermuda Triangle. No Southern accent. He's a warrior hero, I'm not worried about him. Any food left?

Rosalie Skinner said...

Phew, He'll be fine. The others returned unscathed. Not talking much about their experiences, but they were all smiling.
There's plenty of food left.
Kanga steak, shrimp, snickerdoodles if you can find them. Can I cut you a slice of pavlova...it's a bit of heaven on a plate.

gail roughton branan said...

Oh, yes, darlin', pavlova for sure. Shrimp? Boiled? Pass the cocktail sauce please?

Rosalie Skinner said...

Or BBQ'd. *wink* Whichever way you prefer them. There is fresh lettuce and cocktail sauce, or thousand island dressing. Help yourself, Gail. :)
I think I am all partied out. Look for me in the shade beside the pool, reading one of the new releases.

Wendy said...

Oh my goodness. The gang's still here. hahaha. I've rounded up the missing characters. Lovely to see Rosalie looking after everyone while I dozed. Thank you Rosalie. You are a lovely hostess and you are an honoured Guest of Honour. Your characters from Exiled: The Legacy of Lathraine's Pledge were so well behaved. They are welcome to the next party for sure when we launch your Book 4.

Wendy said...

Congrats to each and every one of you!! I could've sworn I stopped by this party and left a comment already, but I must've been in Lala land somewhere...you guy are being really bad with all the junk food. Don't you know I'm on a DIET?! Do you know how long it took me to get this baby weight off?? *Smh*
